Diego Bernal.
Diego is a co-founder of Coastal Healing, starting the cultivation project back in 2017. Diego has lived locally for over 20 years and wanted to bring a state-of-the-art cultivation facility to Westport. He brings over 30-years of experience as a research scientist to the company and works with the cultivation team to support their pursuit of the best quality flower.
David Bullis.
David has been a New England native for most of his life. He grew up in Avon, Connecticut attended Avon Old Farms High School and then completed College and Medical School at Dartmouth College.. He did a surgical Internship at Maine Medical Center his Residency at Albert Einstein Hospital, and completed his surgical training in Salt Lake City. He joined Coastal Orthopedics as a sports medicine specialist and retired from orthopedics in 2021. Shortly after moving to the area, David purchased a farm in Tiverton and Westport, where he has had many types of animals over the years but now it is solely a horse farm. David became an accomplished polo player, playing at Newport polo for 30 years after first taking on the role of Team Physician. He has travelled and played polo in multiple countries around the world.
Dylan Morin.
Dylan is the Director of Cultivation at Coastal Healing, bringing decades of experience to the craft. His journey began at 13 on a hydroponic lettuce farm, and by 18, he was cultivating medical cannabis—quickly developing a deep passion for the plant. Seeking a personal remedy, he began breeding cannabis, which deepened his love for genetics. Known online as BestThingGrowing, Dylan entered the Rhode Island market in 2018, before joining Coastal Healing in 2021. His breeding expertise has led to the creation of award-winning strains like Garlic Reaper, Pookie, and Lemon Zephyr, as well as unique cultivars such as Atteberries, Stepbro, Gorilla Candy, Gorilla Punch, and Bulldozer. With a relentless focus on quality and innovation, Dylan continues to push the boundaries of cannabis cultivation and genetics.
SOME FACTS ABOUT US
- We are Coastal Healing, located at 248 State Rd. a property zoned in the BUSINESS District and NOT RESIDENTIAL District.
- We too live in Westport and have chosen to bring the tax revenue here and not somewhere else.
- We have been in the Town approval and state licensure stages for over 3.5 years.
- We were granted a letter of non-opposition by the Town of Westport and approved by the Cannabis Control Commission as a vertically integrated medical cannabis facility in 2017.

Our medical cannabis facility is currently under construction and we are pursuing the approval and licensure as an adult-use (recreational) facility. -
